Victoria Peterson Laird works in detailed watercolors, pastels, charcoal and pencil. Capture your favorite loved one (human or animal!) in a timeless portrait. Victoria has been doing commissioned family, dog, cat and horse portraits for almost 30 years, and has a long list of satisfied customers. She has completed dozens of portraits as memorials of dogs, horses and cats that have passed away. Many customers are repeat customers, wanting portraits done of other pets, after first getting one done. Happy tears often accompany the finished portrait's first viewing!

Victoria works from photographs, so distance is not an issue. You can send several photos to work up one composite portrait including different elements from each photo. This is ideal if one horse or dog looks best in one photograph, and another in a different photograph, or if you need to have something removed from the original composition. If you are near to Iowa and wish for Victoria to take photographs, that can be done as well. Prices range from $75 for an 10"x 12" graphite portrait of one subject to $500 for a large portrait with multiple subjects. A 12x16" pastel portrait (a popular choice) is $150 for one subject
Prints of some dogs, horses, cats, ferrets and wildlife are also available, priced at $20.00 to $35.00 based on size. Prints are also occasionally offered for sale on eBay.
